Lahir pada tanggal 16 Juli lebih dari setengah abad yang lalu, TJ (tije), demikian ia disebut oleh para rekan-rekan seprofesinya, berasal dari keluarga pelaut asal Kalianget, sebuah kota kecamatan kecil dari ujung paling timur pulau Madura (Kabupaten Sumenep).
TJ mengenyam pendidikannya mulai dari TK. Budi Utomo Sumenep, SDN. Karembangan 1 Sumenep, SMPN 10 Surabaya, SMAN 1 Surabaya, SMAN 1 Malang, SMA Bhinneka Bhakti Surabaya, Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung, Sekolah Tinggi Hukum Bandung, Universitas Borobudur Jakarta dan saat ini sedang menyelesaikan disertasinya pada Program Doktor Ilmu Hukum di Universitas Borobudur Jakarta.
TJ aktif mengikuti pertemuan-pertemuan tingkat nasional, regional dan internasional, kegiatan-kegiatan seminar, workshop, diskusi serta bimtek, baik didalam maupun diluar negeri.
TJ juga dikenal sebagai inisiator dan penyusun standar kompetensi Advokat yang pertama kali terdaftar di Indonesia, memimpin perjuangan mengubah dari sistem Organisasi Advokat singlebar menjadi multibar serta memperjuangkan perubahan Undang-Undang Advokat sejak tahun 2011.
Ia juga dikenal sebagai pemegang Sertifikat Kompetensi Advokat pertama di Indonesia sekaligus sebagai pengajar pada Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat (PKPA), maupun pengajar pada Pendidikan Lanjutan Kompetensi Advokat (PLKA), Asesor Penguji Advokat bersertifikat untuk yang pertama di Indonesia.
TJ merupakan penerima Piagam Penghargaan dari MURI (Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia) sebagai tokoh penggagas dan pemrakarsa ujian Kompetensi Dasar Profesi Advokat secara online.

Born on July 16, more than half a century ago, TJ (tije), as he was called by his colleagues, came from a family of sailors from Kalianget, a small sub-district town from the easternmost tip of the island of Madura (Sumenep Regency).
TJ received his education starting from Budi Utomo Kindergarten Sumenep, Primary School Karembangan 1 Sumenep, 10th Junior High School in Surabaya, 1st Senior High School Surabaya, 1st Senior High School Malang, Bhinneka Bhakti Senior High School Surabaya, Faculty of Dentistry University of Padjadjaran Bandung, Bandung College of Law, University of Borobudur Jakarta and currently completing his dissertation on the Program Doctor of Law at the University of Borobudur, Jakarta.
TJ actively participates in national, regional and international meetings, seminars, workshops, discussions and technical advisory activities, both inside and outside the country.
TJ is also known as the initiator and compiler of Advocates’ competency which was first registered in Indonesia, leading the struggle to change from the system of the Wide Advocate Organization to multi-media and to fight for changes to the Advocate Law since 2011.
He is also known as the first Advocate Competency Certificate holder in Indonesia as well as a lecturer in Advocate Professional Special Education (PKPA), as well as a lecturer in Advocate Competency Education (PLKA), a certified Advocate Assessor for the first in Indonesia.
TJ is the recipient of the Award Charter from MURI (Indonesian World Record Museum) as the initiator and initiator of the Advocate Professional Basic Competency examination online.
Currently Tjoetjoe Sandjaja Hernanto has the mandate as President of The Congress of Indonesian Advocates, the largest Advocates Organization in Indonesia which has more than 40,000 Advocates and initiators of eLawyer, the first digital-based Advocates database in Indonesia.
